Scored 97% on the NYPD exam....should I take the job? |
I scored 97% on he NYPD exam and I keep getting letters in the mail to go through the rest of the application process but the NYPD pay is very low, It would be like a $10,000 drop from what I make now.....should I take it? I have always wanted to be a cop but im no convinced with the pay. If it is what you really want to do and you would be significantly happier working as a cop then go for it. However if money is a real concern for you perhaps wait until you are in a financially better position before changing professions. I think happiness is more important than money..but if you're decently happy with the ob you have now, I don't really see why you'd have to take the cop offer. Though a lot of people find that to be a prestigious kind of job |
