Teaching contract. What happens to pay when i change jobs? |
I plan to start a new job from new term teaching in Sept. I currently get paid in holiday time, what happens and who pays me wen i change jobs? You will be paid by the new employer from the date on which you join ! Your present contract will either end at the end of the Summer term, or at the end of August. If it is at the end of August then the school you are working in now will pay you till that date. If your contract ends at the end of this term, you will not be paid. It depends on your contract. you will get a pro rata holiday pay if you are paid hourly but if you are not salaried it is unlikely you will get paid for all the holiday period. |
