Anyone ever worked for cracker barrel?

I'm starting as a server on monday. what kind of tips can I expect on the evening shift? what's the company like?

It depends. Have you ever served before? Because I just started serving at Cracker Barrel in March and it was my first serving job. I work nights and we are relatively busy most of the time. But I only work 6 (ish) hour shifts so I don't go home with a whole lot. Friday nights and Saturday nights are the busiest. I would expect the most tips on those nights. On slow nights (Mondays and Tuesday especially) I usually go home with $45-$50. But on busy night I usually get around $80. But the more experienced servers that I work with will go home with $60 on slow nights and $100 on busy. It all depends on your experience really.
Just keep a smile on and be cheerful. Try to make some small talk and always ask if they need anything. But don't go back to their table so often that they get annoyed. ALWAYS refill their drinks before they ask you to. They love that. And don't forget to pre-bus. Pre-bussing is when you see someone finished with a dish say "Can I get that out of your way?" Nobody likes to have empty dishes sit in front of them.
I don't really know what else to say but if you have any other questions you can email me at alockhart17@yahoo.com

Good Luck!

You'll find out on Monday - good luck

Well around where I live, it is extremely busy especially during evening shifts. So as long as you're friendly and keep a smile on your face, you will be able to get a lot of tips.As for the amount thats not very predictable but the number of tips should be reasonable.
