How do you do a call back for a job?

how soon can u call an employer after handing in a resume to thier company??? and what would u say

I would wait two days and then call. When you call just say "This is blank I am calling about an application a sent in and was wondering if I could come in for an interview."

I would give it no longer than 7 days-depending on when u applied. If it was Monday, I say then by Friday they should know whether or not they want to hire you. If you hand it in on Friday,I say by the following Wednesday they should know if they want to hire you or not. Once you are ready to call them, ask for the person in charge of hiring, (find that out when you apply) You could say something to the effect of "Hi, this is (your name) and I'm calling for (the person in charge of hiring).
Then when he/she answers the phone you say again hi this is(your name) and I was wondering if you have had the chance to review my app and resume?.. It works easy as pie.. Good Luck!
