What do i do if my job keeps sceduling me outside of my availability?

Its really pissing me off and if I dont change it I want to quit. I work nights during the week but during the weekends due to church I have to work in the mornings. Ive always been working the mornings but just recently he changed my availability without my consent and wouldnt give me my old hours back. Im today(sunday) because i have church plus an assignment at church. I want to quit if I cant get my old hours back. My mother says I could but I have to get a job(which Im talking to my old boss about back). I should get it back but it hasnt been varied yet. My mom keeps getting on my nerves about my availability and keeps telling when to call them, as I want to do it on my own. What should I do if they dont change my availability?

yes i did tell them, and its been that availability ever since i started working there, but now they started scheduling me outside of it. I work at Target where they're short of help right now anyway.

Did they know about your availibility constraints before they hired you? If so, they can't schedule you during those times unless you tell them they can.

If they did not know, you have to talk to your manager and explain the situation. Tell him/her that you can only work a certain time on Sunday, and if you can't have those hours you will have to quit. If you are a good employee, most managers will work with you so they can keep you rather than finding and training a replacement.

Tell them that your availability is not open for discussion. If the hours they are scheduling you for interferes with church or religious activities, they are in violation of labor laws. Tell them that your mom will not allow you to work any hours other than the ones you told them you were available for. Tell them if they schedule you outside of your availablity, your mom told you that you'll have to quit.

Schedule a meeting with your manager, and provide a new copy of your availability.
Get something signed, and copied, and if they continue to schedule you outside of your availability, you can contact the head office and tell them what's up.

Your schedule was known when they hired you, and they are required by law to go by your requested hours, unless they have prior consent from you on those days.
