I have a job interview at Starbucks. Wear makeup?

I have a job interview for a position at Starbucks coming up. Should I wear makeup?

I've been on both sides of the interview table in my career. If you normally wear makeup to work, by all means do so. The rule of thumb for interviews is that you dress one level up from what they say is the dress code and conservatively on everything else, i.e., jewelry, hair, makeup. Starbucks has a fairly mainstream image and caters to business people/employees, so their focus is going to be on what makes their clients feel comfortable. (Especially for those employees who will interact with the customers, not quite the same emphasis if you are in a back office or corporate job) Extremes in hair, makeup, jewelry put the focus on being different and could mean your interviewer will focus on those instead of the skills and talent you bring to the job. Good luck on the interview!

five people i know work at starbucks, currently.

i would go light on it and look professional. just keep it natural-looking. just to be safe.
dress up nice to make a good impression.

GOOD LUCK!

No. Wear a smile.

Less is best. Just like clothes, makeup needs to fit the environment.
