If you apply for a restaurant job online, should you go talk to the manager if you don't receive any response?

i'm not sure how often they ever look at the applications online in the first place. would it be better to just wait a little, then go in and fill one out on paper and ask to see the manager?

I would be cautious about going in to speak with a manager in person directly over an online application. Most likely those online postings are done via a recruiter, even if it is in-house. So there will be a filtering process before the Manager at the particular place gets a look - if at all. Some of those are corporate decisions, not the local management.

If you want, maybe go in and fill out an application and leave a resume, then do a polite follow up in about a week or two.

It depends on how long ago you posted the app.

If you've had it in for a while, then I think you should go into the place and ask for the manager. Its always good to show your employer that you want the job at all costs.
