my son is currently at college doing professional cookery! My wife is an NVQ assessor and she says that is correct if the pub is willing to let him continue then he will be assessed by the head chef at the pub and once his paperwork is completed he will then be assessed by an external verifier who in turn will pass him in NVQ management one step before another |

it's more about how well you listen and how much you smile and take interest in the customers and how hard you work....you don't need a degree to work there...just think when you go to a ... double shifts mean 16 hr days so friday sat and sunday ummm your looking at a total of 48hrs. then multiply that by your hourly wage. you didnt mention i guess its minimum wage so like 6 an hour wh... Don't count on the tips. You said that it is an outside Ice Cream Place. Which means a Tip jar.. right? I know that I have never tipped in one of those. It is not like you have to due to that ... Because they don't understand the term "out of stock" and think that either that means you have some in the back... or that you are hiding them from the customers unless you bet bugg... I honestly do not think culinary school would be for you. It is expensive and with you not wanting to do this as your career, it will be too costly and time consuming. Cooking well is like painting... I wouldn't necessarily say "free service" but rather service is included. To me, anytime something is FREE is seems they are desperate for clients/customers. You don't wanna s... You probably should emphasize that you want to learn the work, you're a hard worker, you learn quickly, and you always will show up for work on time. Then if they need someone who speaks extra... That means cooking on the line in the kitchen. The line cooks are the ones who prepare and serve up most of the food during mealtimes. ... |
