Advise on how to find a new job!!!?

I used to work on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange, I have my Series 7,63 & 55 securities licenses, right now I am working as a consultant (and hate it)...I have a wife and kids so cant just sit home, however my current job stinks, I am making OK money but am paying in full for my health benefits each month ( for the 4 of us my wife's job doesnt offer benefits and it is over 1k a month) and really am not doing what I want to be doing... Any advise on how to find a new job within the financial industry?

Maybe you should move to Switzerland or Luxemburg (good money there), otherwise check on http://www.efinancialcareers.com/ they have lots of vacancies in different areas.

Otherwise maybe you can apply in www.euroclear.com (clearing bank), they have offices in NY, London, Brussels, Amsterdam and I think you can get something good because of your background... but of course, it depends on what you would like to do.

Network... Call your friends/former employees/family ask them if they know of someone in the financial industry who has the job that you want. Find someone who has the job you want and pick their brain. Keep your current job until you get a new one. Good luck.
