What was the most number of credit cards u ever had?

For me it was 8. Long story short learned my lesson from that & will never do that again.

I had three at one time. Learned my lesson LOL. I only use cash now!

Had 7, now have 1.
rarely use it. Cash works better

Mines was about that many also, and you are correct I have learned my lesson also. It's not how many, but what can you afford? You really don't need that many, and over a period of time of good/great payment history your credit limits will increase. So, with the proper use, and only a few cards you will have a good debt ratio, and your credit (FICO) score will stay high.

I currently have 4. I can't imagine that I would get more than that. I have my longest one open, that I don't use anymore but it started my credit and I leave it open because I've only had credit for a couple of years.

My second one was a credit card from a bank I worked for. It's got a great interest rate and a great credit line so I keep it open and use it.

My third was an Amex. I got that credit card because I thought I was only going to have three and wanted to get an American Express card.

My fourth, and last, is a Washington Mutual card, which I got because it gives me my TransUnion credit score for free.

I pay my bills on time and in full. I have a mastercard, visa, and amex. I use each for a specific purpose and have automatic payments set up.
