Is it better to combine credit accounts?

After getting married, is it better to combine credit lines. For example: both have a visa card individually with no balance on either card. Would their credit be better or worse combine? Would the amount of credit for the visa increase or decrease?

The only way you could do this is to open another account in both names.

Individual credit is just that individual.

The only accounts that will show as joint or co-signed are ones that you open after you get married.

You can add each other to your existing accounts as authorized users, buy under the new score guidelines this will not help either one of you.

First realize you'd be closing then opening new accounts which by all accounts is not a good thing for your FICO score. The way to get a high FICO score is to have open accounts, which you use regularly, pay off on time, and have those accounts open for years and years.
