What is company analysis?

Can someone please explain to me what company analysis is and how to do it?

This is generally a report showing an overall "picture" of a company's standing. In other words, how is the company doing.

The analysis will show growth, potential growth, profits, potential profits, areas to increase budget or decrease, employment recommendations, expenses accrued, existing assets, depreciation of equipment with expected time to replace, where company losses are mostly generated, and many other factors. It can show, as well, where profits are generated most by types of businesses, clients, areas of a state/city.

A thorough analysis is conducted by "hiring" professional companies in this business. An independent can give unbiased opinions, recommendations, etc. They will need "clearance" to access all company information and will work with department heads/employees to understand and maybe improve. Smaller companies may use the services of their current CPA as well.

Analysis of a company can be a time consuming process. This research, presented in documents, graphs, discussions, etc. gives an accurate account of company operations. Owners and upper management can see where profits are made and waste exist.

Good Luck, stay positive. Hopefully others will provide good answers as well
