Does north east ohio really have an accent? |
grew up here my whole life Some guys from Ashtabula who I went to school with had like slight Jersey or wise guy accents. Ive got a lot of friends from Cleveland, and their accent is exactly the same as mine. If you're referring to more of the Youngstown area, its ever so slightly different, but still not much. no, i don't think so, but i live here. I'm in Columbus currently. I've got family in Hudson (east) and i grew up in Mentor (east) When we gather as a family, i now notice that they do have a bit of a Chicago's accent. You bet. It's a bit like a jersey/new york accent, but not nearly as pronounced. Car- Cauhr . Not missing the r entirely as you often do farther east. |
