Looking for a cook in my area - Chicago?

Can anyone give me suggestions on how I can go about finding a cook in Albany Park in Chicago? I work too much, and so I eat out too much. I would like to find someone who can cook a bunch of meals that I can freeze, and inexpensively because I'm a teacher. I'm also concerned about health. Anyways. Suggestions?

Thanks for the responses, but I'm looking for a way in which I won't have to cook myself. And I've seen Dinner by Design places. They tend to be very expensive! I'm thinking more of maybe a way to ask a family that is already cooking to add my meals to their own cooking and then freeze a set of healthy meals that are made.

try google.com or craigslist.com

Hmmm. Used to live there. Anyway...
You can probably run an ad in the Reader.
However, the money you save "eating out" you'll end up spending on the "cook"
I had the same problem and now I just spend
a couple of hours on one of my days off cooking for my "freezer". You can make large pasta dishes, put them in the new inexpensive Ziploc containers. You know, make some ground beef and some elbow noodles throw them together with some tomato sauce. Then divide it into the containers. Hamburger helper...cook it up, freeze it ...couples days worth of meals. Chicken ala king..can of mushroom soup, can of chunk white chicken, 1/3 can of peas. Throw it in a glass bowl, microwave together. Toast the toast ahead of time. Let it cool. Throw it in a ziploc bag. Lunch to go.
If you absolutely can't do it yourself....try the ad in the reader. But, if you're trying to save money [as we all are these days], I would say just try and set aside a couple hours on your day off and cook for the week. You'll be surprised at what you can cook in a couple hours and!! how much $ you'll save. I did!!

There are a lot of places like Dinner by Design where you can go on a Saturday and assembly meals for 2 weeks to 1 month. They come with instructions, etc. and for a little extra, they will assemble for you if you are really pressed for time!

I would be willing to help out. I was a chef for many years in chicago and now just cook for my hubby and myself. His diet although somewhat restricted because of salt/sugar intake. I know how to cook many different things and live close enough to Albany Park to make a delivery once a week .
I make things like stir frys low oil, steam fish and lemon chicken with rice and veggies. I also make great pizzas, pastas and such. Let me know if I can help.
