Is Plainfield ILL, a good place to raise a family?

If any has any information on the area please let me know the pros and the cons.

I currently live in Chicago.
I'm getting ready to buy my first home.

I live in chicago now, but grew up around that area. It's so nice!! The schools are awesome, and the houses are just beautiful. Its not so far away from chicago where you feel out of touch, but it is in a very pretty, wooded area. I recommend it.

Pro's - cheap living.

con's - far from anything except maybe corn

closest train station is in Naperville, & there are no parking permits available.

It's still being built up so the taxes will rise along with it's growth requires more services, roads, infrastructure ect.

It's a tornado magnet.

The highway jams up right there because it narrows down to 2 lanes & there aren't enough roads for all the growth in population.

Lots of partially built subdivisions, so there's a possibility that your buying into an area that won't see great returns for quite some time.

I think that it all depends i personally think that it is a very good place to raise a family and its already populated and its not all corn fields there are all the shopping stores that u might need already and also tax arent that bad well in other words u get alot more for your money in plainfield i dont live there but i have a painting and decorating company and have alot of customers in that area and it is a real nice area
