Where is a place in Chicago, Illinois to find guitars on the cheap?

i really want a guitar but i don't know where to get one! by cheap, we are talking 40.00 here. idk where to get cheap guitars! idc if its electric or acoustic, as long as its a guitar. thank u!

try walmart....for 40 bucks you wont find much.

I would try pawn shops , they usually have some musical equipment for sale.

I just got a $600 one not too long ago for about $200 on craiglist. That's probably your best bet as opposed to Guitar Center, which more likely has Yamaha or Ovation throw-togethers for around the same price or cheaper to go along with a cheaper sound.

Target might have something for $40 but you're talking about $40 sound, too. If you can, try saving up a little more or bargaining with someone on craigslist.
