Is a city sticker needed for a car in Oak Lawn, Illinois? |
We just moved into the area and I'm not sure who to call about it, because the DMV isn't even in Oak Lawn, it's in Bridgeview. If your residence is in Oak Lawn, go to the Village of Oak Lawn and purchase the Village of Oak Lawn vehicle sticker. You don't need to purchase the City of Chicago city sticker which is way too expensive anyway. However, you need to go to the state DMV, and the closest one to you is in Bridgeview, to transfer your car's license plates to Illinois plates if you are going to reside in Illinois on a permanent basis. I believe this needs to be done within a period of months. Check with the local DMV. |
