What are some fun things to do Downtown in Chicago?

Me, my best friend, and her mom are going down there tomorrow to celebrate her 16th birthday. I need ideas or names of fun restaurants!

You can go to the observation tower on the Hancock building. That is close to Water Tower Place - great for shopping. Which is across the street from the actual water tower where you can get a tour bus to take you around the city.

If you like the slower speed there are these totally wonderful horse drawn carriages. The carriage rides are a little pricey, but worth every penny. Closer to the Chicago River, at Michigan ave (south from the Water Tower) you can get a sightseeing boat tour.

For tourists there are these red old fashioned trolleys that take people to lots of attractions and I think that they are still free or really cheap. If you can, go to Navy Pier. This place has shops and restaurants (kind of expensive) and you can get boat rides from the pier or you can just walk to the end of the pier and watch the boats.

Ed Debevic's, the rain forest cafe(even though i don't like it), weber grill, walnut room in Macy's on State, or it a steak place in millennium park, theirs lots of fun restaurants downtown.
