What is the current income tax rate in Toronto?

I want to know the current income tax rate in Canada. Anyone can help. Let say I am earning $50000 a year.

Thanks!

19.83% assuming you have no credits or deductions not mentioned in your question.

Toronto does not have an impact on income tax. You pay the same for any city in Ontario. Different provinces will have different rates. The highest is Quebec at 25.38% and the lowest is the Nunavut at 17.79%

You can check it out by using online calculators like these:
http://www.ey.com/GLOBAL/content.nsf/Can...
http://www.walterharder.ca/T1.html

For $50,000 of ordinary income, these return $9,915 and $9,794.51 of tax payable respectively. That's around 19.7% average. Marginal rate is 31.15% for this bracket.

For the official T1 form which is used to file, use the CRA's site:

I'm not even sure you can deduct food in this situation. Lodging yes, but not food, that's a living expense. In any event, you need receipts.
