If I have an employer provided automobile can I claim a tax deduction for any operating expenses?

Added for tonalc1:

Employer provided a vehicle. I live about 40 minutes from work place. Work requires travel around the city in which I work. I do pay for my own gas so would I beable to claim all gas expenses? Even those relating to travel to and from work? Or just those incurred during working hours?

You can claim any expenses you have paid that were related to your employment duties, as long as you were not reimbursed. Keep in mind that travelling from home to the office and back is considered personal, so you will have to prorate the expenses based on the employment use portion.

Also you will have to get your employer to complete a form T2200 - Declaration of Conditions of Employment, which allows you to deduct these employment expenses.

You mean the mileage expense? No. That goes for wear and tear on the car, which you aren't incurring. If the company didn't reimburse you for gas, you can deduct that.
