How long does my former employer have to get my T4 to me? |
I live in Ontario. How long does my former employer have to send me my t4? I want to do my taxes and i need it. I have left repeatedly messages on their phone system with my new address because moved but nothing has happened. I moved last year. It was legally required to be mailed by Feb 29, not Mar 31. It is well overdue. If you are unable to contact them, you should file with an estimated amount (based on past pay stubs), and a letter to CRA explaining, in as much detail as possible, what you've done to contact them. You should have received it by March 31. Did You move in the calender year? |
