Income tax 2008 canada?

what would be the maximum an employee, working in canada can make (in canadian $), in order not to be liable to pay ANY taxes to the government, for the year 2008. please provide any sources or links. thanks.

If u are a single individual taxpayer, you dont pay tax if u earn less than $9600 (your allowable annual tax exemption amount) a year. If you have wife and kids, your exemption may increase. Pls see below the link listing all tax exemptions amounts:

http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pbg/tf/td1/td...

The answer is actually slightly higher than $9,600 due to the Canada Employment Tax credit, and the CPP and EI credits.

More like ~$11,600.
