CGA or CMA?

If CA is out of the question, and I can only choose between becoming a CGA or a CMA, which one should I choose?

Which one earns more?

Which one is harder to obtain?

Which one cost more money to get?

Which one is more in demand?

Unless a person who went thru both CGA & CMA, it would be difficult for anyone to give u meaningful answers to your questions, and such person is difficult to find.

Having said that, I would suggest that u choose the one that you will get the soonest, after reviewing the CGA & CMA courses, because, in my view, both are comparable in many aspects in response to your questions (although readers here with either CGAs or CMAs may say their designation is better than the other).

One more thing, if u want to be in public practice rather working as corporate accountants, you may wish to pursue CGAs, as CMAs "generally" work as corporate management accountants.
