How do you calculate monthly net income?

i would like to know how much more a month (net) i would make if i got a raise

If u got a raise, how much you net after taxes, will depend on your current income and your marginal tax rate. For example, if you earn less than $9000 a yr, and any income increase u get to $9000 is not subject to taxes. On the other hand, if you are earning $500,000 a year, any income increase u get will result in 50% in taxes, giving u half of the increase. You can approximate this marginal tax rate based on how much taxes u paid last year for your earnings before the increase, unless the increase is so significant that shoots u into a much higher marginal tax rate.
