Would i have to pay tax on this? |
im ordering a laptop to be sent to my uncle when i go to visit him in Canada. I have a canadian passport, yet i live in ireland for the past 8 years and my dad has a hungarian citizenship. would i have to pay GST HST or anything like that? I will be in BC just to clear some things up, i should not HAVE to pay GST, but i just wanted to make sure, as i dont even live there anymore. im an irish citizen now. Interesting couple of answers above. Both of those risk you going to jail, fined, and/or being permanently denied entry to Canada. tell them nothing Put it in your hand luggage and go on it during the flight, they will think it is for buisness or something |
