Do I need to file a tax return after 8-10 years of traveling, even if I havn't worked in Canada?

I have worked the odd jobs and paid in cash here and there, to pay for travels, and havn't filed any returns in 10 years. Do I still need to file a return even if no income was made in Canada? What are the consequences of not filing a return?

i am not certain of canada's tax laws, however, even if you don't owe any taxes in the united states, yet have had a work history or prior tax filing, you have to file.

i thought that if you didn't owe them, then you didn't have to file, but found out the hard way that my lack of knowledge regarding our tax laws was costly. i was fined a substantial amount for not filing. interest was compounded DAILY too..when you owe the irs! amazingly enough, they usually don't inform you immediately, so it can be REALLY expensive and doesn't go away!

don't readily admit that you work for unreported payment cuz they don't like that either! lol

check with canada's tax laws to be sure! good luck
