Ontario Works and Income Tax Return????

I recieved my income tax return today from when I was working, I am now on assisstance, do I have to report this on the income reporting statement and if so, does it get deducted? Serious answers only please

is this your 2006 income tax return with accompanying refund?

If you've received a refund cheque for 2006 taxes, it is not income, but a refund of taxes you paid. It is not income and therefore should not be reported on the income reporting form for 2007 Ontario Works.

I guess it depends on how much it was.

According to the above link, you may only have assets, including cash, of up to $536. I'd suggest you contact them to be sure.
