Taxes on american purchases brought into canada?

hey i am going to New York tomorrow, and i'm planning on spending approx. $400 canadian on clothes and car parts, how much will i have to pay at the border?

How long are you planning on staying, and how many people are going with you?

For example each person is allowed to bring the following back duty free:
After 24 hours - $50 per person
After 48 hours - $400 per person
After 7 days - $750 per person

There are limits on things like alcohol and tobacco. http://www.dutyfree.ca/

They can potentially charge you PST, GST and any potential duties on the product.
