What kind of benifits do I get from the government when I have my baby? I think my boyfriend and I do not make great money. I heard of the universal chidcare benifit or something? Are there other programs in place, maybe for childcare assistance as well? It depends upon how much you make and your expenses. Here is a link about WIC which may help answer your question http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/ try searching on yahoo search bar.. you will prob. find better options good luck to u and ur family!!! 鈾? Hi, you will get about half your pay for maternity leave for up to one year, a mothers allowance, and that's not much, maybe 85 dollars per month, but if you are low income, you can apply for subsidized housing. I doubt you would qualify for social assistance outside of that because you have a job now, and your boy friend has a job and it is his responsibility to provide for you and your child. Your man should start thinking about a part time job because it is not the responsibility of the tax payers to pay for your decision to have a child. That's life and sometimes its not easy. This may be different in each state. You can get free medical care, food stamps,or just food checks for the baby(WIC)and yes there are states where they help you with childcare assistance, too.I would turn to social services in your area. |
