Disabled Student?

Hi, I'm wondering what type of tax write offs etc.. exist for a full time permentantly disabled university student.

So far I seem to think I have credits to about $20,000 some of which are transferable. Can anyone out there give me a list of all the claims etc.. I'm also in receipt of ODSP, I'm receiving a number of scholarships and bursaries as well, and am eligible for OSAP (for about $2500) My tutition etc.. I have a business start up but I'm not making money off of it (I'd like to).

Any tax advice. Because of my status as a disable (markedly restricted for CRA purposes) and substantially disabled for DAU/ODSP purposes, as well as being a full time student I may have tax things I didn't know about before. Last year I filed and needed to backfile to 2004 for disability purposes, this is my first year in post secondary education.

Wow - you're busy!

I'm not sure exactly what credits and deductions you've already found for yourself, but here is a link to CRA's site discussing the credits for persons with a disability:

http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tax/individuals...

The link covers disability credits as well as medical expenses.

As a student, you're also entitled to deductions for that as well:

http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tax/individuals...

Since you are also running a business, here is the link for that:
http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tax/business/to...

There is also a link that discusses government programs for persons with disabilities.
