How come Alberta has only 6% tax?? what are the disadvantages?

Which is better Alberta or Toronto?

Alberta doesn't have provincial sales taxes like the rest of the provinces do, because of the oil revenues. Yes, Alberta has the same benefits like health care that the rest of the country does.

As for Alberta vs. Toronto - the economy in Alberta is booming right now and it's easy to find a job, but because so many people are moving there, it's hard to find a place to live and house prices have skyrocketed.
Hmmm, disadvantages to "only" 6%?? You got me. I havent been to Toronto much, but I like Alberta, I like the West though.
Alberta does not have a provincial tax, only the 6% federal tax. It is the only province in Canada that is not in debt. I personally loved living there and highly regret leaving to move back to Nova Scotia.
