If a pizza cutter costs $7.00, and i go to pay for it, will the total be $7.13? in most places sales tax will be less than 10percent so if you are in a store and you need to know if you have enough to cover the tax just move the decimal in the price over one spot to the left and there is your sales tax. E.g. 7.00dollar item = about .70cents salestax so your total will be just under 7.00 + .70 = 7.70dollars Where do you live ? GST+Provicial tax makes more than 7.13$ well depending on the sales tax... say it was 8% then take $7.00 x 0.08=$0.56 then add that to $7.00 and you get $7.56 It all depends on your local sales tax. Here in LA County, California, it is 8.25% so that would make it about $7.60. |
