RRSP in Canada, how much saving is enough?

I'm single, mid 30's and make 100k to 120k a year.
Everybody says "save as much as you can".
Well, I've been able to save up to 70% of my paycheck.
But I don't have a car, rent a bachellor, don't have TV, don't have cell phone, buy all stuff in discounts, never eat outside. I have two jobs and no time for living.
By the end of year, I put all in RRSP and investments. Then gov takes a huge portion as income tax. (I heard new taxes are coming).
Most people I know make half what I do and have nice cars, cells, travel a lot...
So can anybody advice an actual number or %?
I have a daughter who lives overseas and alI my savings are on her name, she's why I save this much. But I wonder if it is worth it.
plans for retire? I dream to go back to my home country in the caribean where 12k a year is a descent salary. I don't want to retire and then travel the world, I want to do it now with my dauther. I don't want a luxury retire. I want the best for my daughter and that's it.

Fundamentally, you need to determine the following:
-When you would like to retire
-How much income per year you will need during retirement
-How long you expect to live (an estimate obviously)
-How much you wish to have remaining in your estate

Once you know all of these then it is a simple calculation to determine how much you will need to have saved by the time you retire, and you can then work backwards to figure out how much to save each year.

If we use the following conservative assumptions:

Current savings is nil
Plan to invest $50k each year until you retire;
Expected after tax rate of return of 5%;
You plan to retire in 30 years;
You expect to live for another 30 years after retiring;
You wish to leave $1 million to your heirs

Then you will have an annual retirement income of approx $200,000 before tax, which will leave $1 million remaining after 30 years.

If as you say you only need a retirement income of $12k per year, then you are currently saving much more than you need.

I recommend consulting a qualified financial planner to help you sort this out.

Good luck!
Being a parent myself I could understand why you save for your daughter. But this does not mean that you could not live a little. I mean what is your values set at. I have some friends who thinks and values life more than anything and they spent what they have and live a moderate simple life with very little luxury. To them wages that feed and put a roof over the head is enough. On the other hand i have friends who come from a hard like who values money more than anything. To them saving for a rainy day is very important and stressed this even upon their children and you can see them becoming very ambitious. Neither one or the other is wrong it is just different ways people places their values and live their life. Honestly taking the middle road and not being too extreme on both side seems to be good as you will not miss out on life and at the same time being cautious. It is up to you to decide. To me you sound very tired and have look at your friends life and are already starting to wonder what if????? This usually lead to regrets. So take a step back and talk to your daughter see what she have to say and see if she is able to support herself and the decision will come easy. Should you quit now can you retrace your step or maybe there would be other options you could do. All is not lost. It is up to you to gain the confidence on what to do. I hope this will help
You need to figure out exactly what you want your living expenses to be. If you want to live cheap you don't need to save as much. If you want to live very comfortably.. save a lot.
Keep in mind a lot of the people who are making salaries half of yours and having all the nice things also have all the debt that come a long with having those things. Or their savings in rrsps etc outway their debt.
