Are there any benefits to claiming common-law in Ontario?

Common-law should be staying with you at least 12 month to gather. When you have child than 12 month rule does not apply. Does common-law has income? If not than you can claim as non refundable credit.The forms are federal Schedule 1and provincial ON428.
