Need Help Waiver Letter? |
I have recently received a tax ressassesment from Tax Canada. I would like some help in writing a letter to request waiver of interst on this. It is causing alot of stress in my life, knowing that I now owe on something I didnt know that I actually owed. I hope this makes some since to someone out there.Help Please!!! Here is the link for the taxpayer relief provisions. http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/agency/fairness... You will need to see if you qualify for the relief (read the link above). If you do, then clearly show in the letter why you qualify, and prove it; if you are asking for relief because you can't afford the penalty/interest, then you will need to complete an income and expense and net worth statement, to substantiate that assertion. Don't forget to file all of your outstanding returns; in my experience, they won't consider your claim if you haven't filed up to date. |
