If a Canadian citizen lives and works here for a few years?

and wants to go back to live in Canada how would she take her savings back to Canada? Would she be liable to some form of tax. What difficulties could she encounter.? She is an unmarried mother to be whos father to be is English. He also wants to live in Canada. (this is not me)

I don't understand where "here" is. Each country has its own rules with respect to moving currency, assets, etc out of them; there may be a departure tax, and there may be a limit to how much she can take with her.

As for taxes on entering Canada, she wouldn't pay tax on her savings, other than regular taxes on interest and/or capital gains earned after she was here.

She should be able to bring her personal possessions into Canada tax/duty free, for the most part. See the site below for more information regarding that:

Id just keep my mouth shut, and take the 30%+ exchange rate. dont go tryin to cash any large checks up there. find out what the limits are and adjust.
