Why do some Canadians receive a refund from the CRA??? |
Why do some Canadians receive a refund from the CRA??? One reason is that their TD1 is filled out incorrectly, and doesn't account for some of the deductions they are entitled to. Another reason is some people ask for extra tax to be taken off. The only time you get a refund is when you've paid the government too much money over the year; it is NOT a state to work towards; it is much better to have the amount of tax remitted to the government over the year equal the amount you owe for that taxation year. Ways to achieve this include filing an accurate TD1 and/or submitting a T1213 form to CRA for permission to reduce your taxes withheld at source.. |
