can u buy ammunition with a mass ID in the state of MASSACHUSETTS Are you new to Massachusetts? You must possess a Firearms Identification Card (FID) or one of two types of License to Carry (LTC). You can apply for either with your town police department. A prerequisite to application is having completed a firearms safety course. The state's Basic Hunter Safety course suffices for a FID card and in some cases a LTC. Check MassWildlife's web site for course offerings. This course is free. You can find licensed trainers who will charge you for the course if you are not interested in taking a hunting oriented course. Get help from a professional. |
