What do you do when you are an adult to meet new people?

I just moved to Boston, new from College. I am not used to not being around a lot of people my age. Is there anywhere online or in person where you meet friends?

Bars are one of the worst places to meet people.

The best way to meet new people is to find something that interests you and pursue it. For example, take a class in something that interests you, e.g. a foreign language, or something fun and creative. The Cambridge Center for Adult Education is a great place to check out. Or volunteer for a political group or other organization that interests you.
