What should I do for my birthday in January? in Massachusetts?

I'm planning ahead...my b-day is in the end of Jan. I'll be 27 (yow!). I'm fresh out of unique ideas and am bored with the usual going to a club or bar. I live in Boston but I have a car so can go pretty much anywhere.
Any ideas?

Rather than celebrate with friends, celebrate with the poor,homeless or sick, by offering your time and effort. (cash if you can afford it)
Do something good on your birthday that will benefit others, it will give you the greatest satisfaction.
But do it in secret.

OH MY God you should go to Foxwoods!...stay over if you can get a room! free drinks while gambling or go to a club or the Hard Rock Cafe...shop a little see a show!! lots to do...I like to go to the super big bingos..you can go online at Foxwoods.com and see whats up...here's a little secret ..if you go to a bingo on a friday and or saturday and it's $50 or more like a $100..you get a room for dirt cheap...you have to buy a ticket ahead of time..or best thing it to call foxwoods and ask for Sandy the Bingo/Hotel lady....she saves rooms....so either way check it out...I love it there and it's always fun!!

Jan in Mass i'll stay in and enjoy the heat

Mmm... Birthday in Beantown in January... I'd have to say if you feel like driving why not head up to NH and take a nice little ski/snowboarding trip or if you feel like really getting away, why not buy yourself a flight down to some remote Caribbean island and get native. If you feel like staying in beantown and want to spend your time with loved ones and friends why not treat yourself to a nice breakfast at Zaftigs in Brookline, then hit the spa and get a nice relaxing massage, after that you could have an indulgent seafood lunch at Atlantic Fish Company on Boylston. Then after your fulfilling lunch head over to the MFA and catch a new exhibit. After that grab a quick supper at Petit Robert on Comm Ave. and have some after supper drinks/dessert at Finale... and hit up Foundation Lounge for a little music and libations and call it a night...
