Is there a Guaranteed Trust Security Inc at 35 Brookham House, Blackhorse Road,East Ham, London E13 2LB, UK?

I received a "final award" notification. They are not asking for any money and stated that any fees will be taken out of the reward that I receive. This is the third letter since November 2007. They are giving me an option of receiving a certified check or provide my account number to receive funds. (account number WILL NOT BE GIVEN) I just want to know if this is legitimate or not.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Most likely they will ask for proof of id before releasing the check to you and then will use your id to do whatever they want. Be very cautious if you proceed further.

Edit - Australia forbids the use of the word "trust" in company names. Im not sure about UK though, but maybe an indication that its a scam.

We received the same letter, however they did send us a check. My husband took it to the bank. The bank told him it was a real check watermark and all. The bank held it and contacted the bank where the check is from and they said that they had no records of a check going to him. Our bank returned the check to us with the words counterfeit written across it.

I dont know.. My mom got the same letter in the mail and she called them, but still dont know if it's real. Did you ever call go through with it.?

The world is full of gullible people. These 'companies' prey on that gullibility.
Ignore them and maybe they will go away.
Then again, it may be true. I would not let the chance slip by.
Take the certified cheque. The only way to find out if it is legitimate is to take the chance. I would certainly provide them with all the necessary information.
From the information provided, they appear more than legitimate. After all, if they were not legit, would they provide a full address.
