Am I the only one fed up with constant bungling by tax consultants over AIS & BAS statements? GST SUX!?

Sftyk Is spot on AIS/BAS are so straight forward that a child could fill one out. Once apon a time it was my job to teach people how to fill them out -and frankly I had people who couldnt read or write doing their own BAS & AIS, I had them happily doing them without error after just and hour or so of explaining things to them! Are you actually using a properly qualified person or one of those"backyarder" types that just thinks that they know what they are doing? (That the ATO has been having so much trouble with).
Basically no one can charge a fee unless they are a tax agent or working under the supervision of a tax agent or registered member of an approved body- perhaps you should refer to the information in the following link and check out whether your "consultant" is in fact legally qualified to undertake your BAS/AIS services.

As an Accountant I can tell you IAS & BAS aren't that hard. In fact they are where a lot of us make our money because they can take just minutes to do
As magpiez has referred to make sure that the Accountant is a member of a professional body, like the CPA or ICAA.
