Can you help me find a job in Austin at $50K a year?

My husband has been in the navy for 7 years and gets out in a couple weeks. We have a home in Kyle Texas and need to get him a job making somewhere in the area of $50K a year. He is not above any kind of work at all. But we have 3 children and until we can get the kids situated in school and daycare I can't get a job. I would like to start daycare in my home but its going to take some time. Please if anyone can help we'd appreciate it! No more online search engines or month long hiring process. At this point we have to rely on word of mouth. We have exhausted most the other options. If you personally can help or know someone who can, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

It doesn't have to be $50K but just around that.

Please let us know his skill set. There are plenty of 40-50k jobs in Austin.

There are probably very few jobs in Ausin paying$ 50K annually.

I used to live in austin after graduating from UT in 2000. making 50k/yr isn't hard but it really depends on what your skills are. Do you have a degree or technical background? I understand the Navy trains well but then again not all of those skills will translate to jobs in the Austin area.

If he has a tech degree there are some well paying jobs at motorola, amd, national instruments, applie materials, dell, selectron.... but there is a reason I don't live in Austin anymore. The job market there is pretty up and down. Everyone I know who graduated from UT worked in austin for a bit and now has moved out due to being laid off or finding a more stable job somewhere else. I was laid off from Motorola back in 2001.

I have 2 kids and my wife is a stay at home mom. How can I do this while owning my own home, 2 cars, disney time share, no student loan, and zero balance on any of my credit cards? It's called smart planning and opening my side business while I work for a oil and gas company. Yes, I have 2 jobs yet don't work more than 45hrs a week but make enough to support everything so far.

If he has a mechanical engineering background I can point him in the right direction. My wife now teaches other stay at home moms how they too can do it like we do. She has officially retired and a gas accountant and just teaches people about our business we started.

oh, I was making 51k/yr coming out of college. You can find entry level tech jobs paying 50k+ but you might have to trade time for money. (overtime if he doesn't have the skill set)
