Has anyone signed up with Direct Energy?

If so, are they as good as they claim they are? I am in Texas and am currently being serviced by TXU. Thank you.

They'll nickel and dime you on hidden charges once you sign a contract. I will never go back. ever.

I'm an Independent Associate for Ignite who markets stream Energy. Stream Energy is only 3 years old but in you area is only smaller than TXU due to it's previous monopoly. Stream Energy provides a flat rate and is cheaper than most and almost always cheaper than the monopoly companies of Reliant and TXU. How did they grow so fast? With Associates like myself willing to lend a hand. Oh, doesn't hurt that it pays well too ;)

I would be more than happy to contact you to get a plan setup for you. Just looking at my old Austin zip of 78759, Stream Energy plan for 1yr standard power is 11.4cent/kw @1000kw. Mine is a flat rate.

Looks like Direct Energy is 12.3cents/kw @1000kw right now.
