CD kiosks in Austin?

Are there any kiosks where you can burn mix CDs like there use to be in a few a starbucks in Austin?

Your article explains exactly why the idea failed. Why do you need to burn mix CDs nowadays?

My only suggestion is to go to a FedEx Kinko's and rent their computer (it has to have a CD burner in it as well as iTunes, Windows Media Player or some other audio management software). They will help you through the process if you don't know how to do it yourself. And if you don't have blank CDs, they will sell them to you also.

I assume you have all the CDs you want to mix. Otherwise, you will have the purchase each song from the iTunes store, create a playlist, and click "burn CD".

Sounds like there was a bad business model in this concept. Seems to me it would be just as easy to do at home without having to go anywhere, which is why the idea failed.
