Honest mechanic in Austin tx?

Really need some work done on my car and just want the names of some reputable mechanics. New to Austin. thanks

Not sure what part of town you are in but my dad always says when you move someone find a person who can work on your car incase there are any problems. I found one that I really like up North. Jollyville Garage. They never tried to make me feel stupid (most of them do since I am a woman) and they answered all my questions.

Honest Mechanic? hah!!! that is a joke if I ever heard one before. I hardly doubt one actually exists.

ha ha ha ah.This is too easy. Go to a rural area and find the dirtiest, grubby, toothless, cousin luvin' humanoid you can find and have him fix your car. He'll probably be more honest than the franchised, big name,clean ,state of the art shops. Just watch out for Leatherface.

Wish I could give you actual names, but... I would recommend asking friends or co-workers. Generally, if they've had work done, they can at least tell you who NOT to use or where NOT to go. The best ones are 'friends of friends', they'll normally "work for beer".
