I live in the Austin area and am looking for a job using autocad. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What experience do you have? You may be able to get work at Manufacturing companies or perhaps in Facilities Management. Ultimately if all you have is a "drafting" background, your best bet is to look for jobs in "specialty" areas where they expect a level of training will be required anyway for whomever they hire but they won't want to train you in the "drafting" skill as that will already be expected knowledge.

check out craigslist...I've found jobs there before...also, www.hotjobs.com, www.monster.com, www.careerbuilders.com. Austin employers use these sites. There is also check out the Texas Workforce Commission...they should be able to help you locate state jobs. The state has most of it's office here in Austin (capitol) and they pay well and have great benefits.
