Anyone know of real play groups in austin?

i really want to get out with other moms and i cannot find any groups that are actually meeting or doing anything. i dont work and it gets boring especially since my daughter is very independent she doesnt want me far away but she wants me to leave her to explore so ive got nobody to hang out with if you know of any please tell me

ive tried alot of those sites and the moms on there either dont email back when i propose a playdate or meeting. there is no reason to sign up if you dont actually want to meet the ppl on there

I am afraid I am not a mom, but I understand the problem.

Here are a few ideas my sister did when she ran into the same problem. They are some for you and your child and some for just you. Check them out, even if you don't care for that particular group, you may find someone in the same boat and you can start your own play group.
