take over some food, such as a pie or cake.it doesnt even have to be home made, go to the store, find something appetizing or possibly a personal favourite, wander next door casually and introduce yourself to your neighbours with a treat . good food is never frowned upon.

What a coincidence. I live on that street too! I'm easy to spot. I'll be the best looking guy around.

Get marshmallows and hot dogs. Set your house on fire and introduce yourself. Invite them to eat with you while the fire department is on the way. Just introduce yourself when you see them. Can you cook? Bake a pie or some cookies and just take them over. Here in the sunny south, it always works almost. Sometime the neighbors don't really want to know anybody. Man moving to new community said, "What kind of neighbors do you have here?" New neighbor replied, "What kind of neighbors did you have at your old home?" New man replied, "The best!" New neighbor replied, "Then that is what you will find here!" Good luck.

Since you didn't tell us what neighbors you were looking for...I notice while doing research that you live in a gated community. Gated communities always have associations...Yours is no different.
