Daylilies in sun or partial shade

Natural plants are popular because of the relative infrequency of rain. There are many options but I would start by making sure that your soil is deep and rich enough to support your plants. Also, mulch is very important to keep the plants from drying out. Live oaks are favorites around Austin and beautiful. Watering dramatically effects their growth rate as does soil depth. Sage, cactus, crepe myrtles and monkey grass are other basics. From there, go to your plant store and see what is popular. Good luck.
